| Whenever an athlete needs to move from start or standing position, chances are they will need to explode from that position. This explosive movement is detrimental to an athlete. A two or three second lead in his/her movement can be the difference between a win or a loss. Explosive movements allow the athlete to exert more of their larger muscles. This recruitment of larger muscles gives the athlete the ability to explode like a rocket from a start position. Without this type of training an athlete is passing up an opportunity to be the best at their sport. |
